Philosophy

Justice    I understand how difficult it must be to select a criminal defense attorney. Therefore, I have taken the effort to detail my philosophy on the practice of criminal law.

I believe in the honest practice of law. I believe that lawyers should communicate with their clients on all matters at all times. I believe in professionalism with judges and other attorneys. I believe that, as a criminal defense lawyer, I am an advocate and a safeguard to my client's constitutional rights.
Based on these principles, I pledge to:

  1. Return all your phone calls
  2. Create an easy to understand employment contract with no hidden fees
  3. Keep your confidences confidential
  4. Anticipate when a procedure might be confusing, and make every attempt to describe it in a manner in which you can understand
  5. Mail you copies of all documents I receive or create related to your case
  6. Treat you with respect and dignity
  7. Treat the judge, as well as the other attorneys involved, with respect and dignity
  8. Remember that you are the client going through a difficult and trying time in your life and you need me to be honest, forthright, and, above all, a zealous advocate for your constitutional rights.

"Concepts of justice must have hands and feet...to carry out justice in every case in the shortest possible time and the lowest possible cost. This is the challenge to every lawyer and judge in America."
Warren E. Burger, U.S. Supreme Court Justice
